Forden's are the talk of the J.T.Hughes Montgomeryshire Amateur League this morning after clinching a cup semi-final spot in style.
The second division villagers, whose Recreation Field was hit by vandals in the week, crushed first division side Llangedwyn 8-3 in The Robins (NewtownFC) League Cup - their second cup win over the visitors this season.
Max McLaughlin led the way with a hat-trick, Kyle Hulse hit two and there were goals from Scott Jones, Adam Griffin and James Watkins, who later saw red for a second bookable offence. Paul Buckley hit a treble for Llangedwyn.
Bettws continued their charge towards the Division One title, beating Abermule Reserves 5-0 with goals from Carl Phillips, Barry Bellis, Mark Thomas, Matthew Williams and Gareth Owen.
